Tom fished the keys from his pocket and unlocked the door.

He entered the room, and had this strange sensation in his head that something was off.

WHAM!

Something smashed his face and he was hugging the floor. He wiped his mouth, and saw it was bleeding.

He looked at his attacker, but could not identify the silhouette.

His groggy head cleared for an instant when he saw his attacker wind up a kick.

He threw his hand in to block the attack, which sent him rolling farther in the room.

“Who… what do you want?”

Tom struggled to stand up, his legs still a bit shaky from the initial hit.

He managed to stand, but when he looked up, his attacker was inches away from him. His fists were much, much closer.

One strike hit his gut, which sent him reeling down. The other fist followed up with a solid strike to his head.

The room spun around. His ears rang and the next thing he knew he was kissing the floor like a long-lost lover.

“Jerry sends his regards… he wants his money back real soon…” His attacker said in a deep, husky voice…

Tom could not answer back.

He clenched his fists. It was all he could do to retaliate. His body could not move an inch.

“Three days… You have three days, or you’ll be dancing with me again…”

Tom’s attacker closed the door. His laughter echoed down the hall, while Tom lay on the ground.
